Samsung PL100 12.2 MP Digital Camera - Black

Bought for holiday with friends and the front LCD makes it easy to take perfect pictures of you friends (or family) with you in them too!
There are many similar cameras of the same size, weight and spec but none compare to the uniqueness of the Samsung PL100 simply because of the dual screen feature.

I really loved the front screen idea on the camera-perfect for self portraits and to show others what they look like. This is what lead me to buy the item. I searched many sites and EBay was perfect for the buy. The camera has great picture quality and the zoom and focus functions are amazing. There are many modes including one which is called "beauty shot" which makes your skin look flawless and brightens up your eyes! Other modes include: one which brightens the background, blurs the backgrounds and various season modes (which alternates to the season- summer, warmer colours). The clever little camera also has face detection, a setting where it will only take the photo when there is a smiling face (can be annoying when you want to take a picture of the countryside!) and also it detects if someone blinks then it will take a second picture. The front screen as I mentioned before can also change. One setting is a child setting-It will put a clown video on and funny sounds which can attract the children towards the camera- getting a great picture!
However, the newer model has a touch screen which would be great for zooming in and editing or cropping. And the rear screen has no buttons- enlarging the surface area- for a clearer picture.

This camera has a much better picture quality than my sony ciber had and its smaller and lighter does a fantastic pics in quite dark areas without flash light. Easy to use and overall I am happy to have it. Would recommend to anyone.

I brought this product cos i take a lot of self group shots when out and about and with the LCD at the front, means i dont miss anyone out :-)
It has too many features for my liking, i just want to point and shoot and thats what i can do with this camera.
Having gone through three camers since august last year i would have to let you know how it compares. At the moment it still works fine after having had it for two weeks and used it during a course of four days.

The Samsung PL100 is a great camera, it's small, light and compact and very easy to use. At 12 MP the pictures are very sharp. After reading the instruction manual once and having a play around with the camera I very quickly new how everything works on it. I bought this camera for a specific purpose, taking self shots of me holding any big carp that I caught as I'm often fishing on lakes that have nobody else around to take the trophy shots. This is where the front screen and 10+2 second timer come into there own and I haven't been disappointed. All in all a great little camera for the price and I would recommend it to all anglers that sometimes find themselves fishing on big lakes with not many people around.
