Samsung Ultra Z720 13.9 - Dark violet (Unlocked) Mobile Phone

I have previously owned the vodaphone version of this phone for 15 months - 720v and lost it on the train. This version is the special edition Formula 1 Team McClaren version in silver and red to reflect the Formula 1 team colours - the 720m version of the phone. They are both beautiful phones to handle and so thin and light with rounded edges that they can easily be put in a shirt pocket. They make the current range of Nokia phones e.g. 6500 slide and N95 look and feel like overweight.

The 3.2Mp camera is excellent giving good quality pictures but, like most phone cameras, it is rather slow to take the pictures. There is a 13x digital zoom which can be very useful but as with all digital zooms quality drops with extedned zoom.

After 15 months there was miminal wear and it was rugged, having been dropped a few times. Unlike Samsung's D900 and D900i, which are outwardly very, very similar, they have HSDPA which means high speed internet is possible and there is a TV mode as well. There is not a FM radio on these however, that is on the D900i. Samsung surprisingly did not produce the 720 model phone for long and thus there are few about and they are sought after but from personal knowledge anyone who has had one regards them as without doubt one of the nicest phones to handle and own. It is for that reason I bought this phone as I didn't like the alternatives, although the D900i is a very close relative to it.

One drawback as with all Samsung I have had is the battery life is poor if the battery has not been properly charged at the first charge up. It lasts a maximum of a couple of days but properly charged up at the first charge i.e before you turn the phone on the battery will last a lot longer between charges.

had this phone for a few months now, is really good, memory on phone originally is good but enhanced with memory stick it really increases the potential so can use the camera and video recorder to full extent and also the media player with music files. holds a lot of both contacts(1000) on top of the sim card and sms messages(200+) and very easy to use. very sleek stylish and not an overly common phone so stands out, however although the camera is very good, there is no flash which does get annoying (as can be used for other things e.g. i used the flash on the d600 as a torch sometimes). Also the games that come with the phone are only demos so not fully enjoyable unless you buy them and the battery on it, if u use it a lot is pretty low and if you use a lot every day like i do, you will have to charge it over night every day as it runs out pretty quickly.

Aside from that an awesome phone and really worth getting

Nice slim phone, with some very good features such as the photo zoom and editing. Only problem is there is no flash for the camera and the battery life is pretty low, if you use it quite often you'll need to charge it every day.

I was looking for a mobile phone for myself and happened to come across this one which is the formula one model. My daughter had a birthday coming up and as she is mad on formula one thought it would make the ideal present. The screen saver is a formula one car with Lewis Hamilton and the ring tones are the sound of cars racing. She loves it as it has Lewis on it and nobody else has one like it. It is also a very good handset and easy to use with the menu set out on a starting grid and in Maclaren colours. This is a great phone for any formula one fan!!

You couldnt ask for better, speed of downloads immense, stylish, and easy to use!
One thing I'm a bit unhappy with is the camera. It takes about a second to a second and a half to take a photograph! Enough time for the object of the photograph to turn their back on you! But the Camera quality is fab !
