Excellent little player that punches above it's we
Created: 20/04/11
I have purchased any number of mp3 players for music in the gym and to listen to the audiobooks I have labouriously ripped from audio cassettes. The players have invariably disappointed because of being battery driven or in the case of more expensive players because they are large and clumsy in operation. This little player really has it all, it is great for attaching to a shirt collar when working in the office or the garden and the controls are very straight forward, so much more convenient than using my Palm or larger players. Having bought one, my wife immediately purloined it and within days a friend I showed it to asked me to order one for him when I ordered another for myself. Another colleague in the office also saw it and fell in love with it buying one on eBay the same day. I ordered the silicon case for my wife and myself simply because the finish is so smart I would hate to scratch it. Silly really because the price you can pay for it on eBay is so competitive that replacing it will not break the bank. The 2gb model is quite large enough to hold both audiobooks and songs and it's menu hierachy reveals radio, podcast and dictation capabilities.... A real little gem.

This is a small (Matchbox sized) MP3 player, great for walking, running or workouts. Charges from the USB port of a PC or laptop. Internal Battery.

Very small
Reasonable price
Drag and drop your songs - do not need any sort of software (just drag the songs into the music folder) on the device
Really great sound
Good battery life
Nice bright (but small screen)
Comes with earphones, and a lead to connect to the PC or laptop
Stores 250+ songs depending on bit rate of the songs
Good clip on back for attaching to yourself
Dislikes –
Buttons are small (but what can you expect it’s small!)
Has a setting for country (If you set for Europe the device limits the audio volume) - Set for USA = Blow your ears off! (took me a while to figure this out!)
Shiny plastic so bit of a finger smudge
Not much else!!
In Summary
If you want something like this that’s small, easy to use and not going to break the bank, has good sound quality and can survive being thrown into the bag and pulled out periodically for some exercise this is the kit!

I bought it as a handy small mp3 player to use whilst running and travelling, which it is perfect for. Although it doesn't store huge numbers of songs there is enough space to store all your favourites and have space to spare.
I love the clip and the compact design but it can be a little fiddley to use and it feels a little flimsy. Also the volume doesn't go up very high which can be annoying when walking past busy roads etc and the sound of cars passing by blocks out your music.
The Sansa Clip is very easy to put music onto. You just hook it up to your computer via USB a and drag and drop the files you want on there. I like the simplicity of this and how quick and simple it is to do. It would be great for someone who is new to using MP3 players.
Basically i'd say that it is a small, useful MP3 but nothing to write home about. Essentially it is fairly average. So if you just want something for some music whilst you work out or on the move this will do the job well but it you're looking for something a bit more sleek that can house your whole music collection look elsewhere.

I was looking for a new mp3 player and needed one with a voice recorder so had a look at the sansa clip. Here are the main perks-
-It is small and lightweight. A tiny little blighter packed full of surprises
-An easy to use menu. Unlike some cheaper players you are able to scroll through the artists, albums and songs
-Charges quickly and battery lasts for a long time.
-Far cheaper than the competing players at Apple though easily surpasses the shuffle and as for the Nano the only thing that has on top is the itunes player
-Perfect for moving around or excersing as doesn't skip or jump.
-Has a clip. I think they stole the idea from elsewhere but it's perfect
Looking at afew review sites the only negative comment I found was that it was not loud enough. Now just using the earphones that come with it I can tell you that it is very loud and even though I like my punk music no need for me to turn it all the way up. I think whoever thought it wasn't loud enough had probably plugged it into some bargain bin speakers with a pitiful output.
This is great value at the RRP so if you find it cheaper elsewhere then it's a real bargain. You really can't go wrong buying one of these.
