Seagate Momentus 5400.6 500 GB,Internal,5400 RPM,2.5" (ST9500325AS) Hard Drive

I purchased this hard drive to replace the one pre-exisiting in my old 13 inch MacBook Pro (Unibody, late 2010) - I installed it and transferred my files over and this was very fast.

The drive itself was as described, brand new - sadly 2 days after installing it the Logic Board of the computer I installed it to died (not related!) - I was really concerned this could have compromised the hard drive - not at all, plugged it into a new machine and it was ready to go as if nothing had happened!

Great price point too!

Pros: Reliable, sturdy and quite fast, even for a 5400RPM drive!

Cons: Makes a whirring noise (caused by the platter spinning and there being a vent aperture on the surface of the drive!) - Easy enough to ignore!

Works is good. Not make much noise.

I am using it for CCTV. No problem at least. I hope it will work long time.

Bought to replace the ailing drive on my DELL laptop as it was identical - I wanted to minimise formatting & Fitting problems. I cloned it using the EASUS free software and found that fitting was pretty easy. Booted up the laptop and it immediately found the cloned drive which it recognised as the original. It has worked perfectly ever since and is faster than the original. (I find it strange that it's faster to boot up too, as it has faithfully replicated all the rubbish that I had put on the original drive, as well as stuff that had accumulated.) Even faster now that I have deleted a lot of the rubbish! Good buying experience, cheapest I could find. Would use the seller again.

Bought this HDD as an upgrade for my phat ps3 60gb. Fitted with no hassle. Works well, just as good as the original equipment only with a LOT more storage!! A great product at a great price!

Small , good perfomance if keep like spare storage , never have problem with seagate before , all technology nearly same so grab one which was cheaper .
