Sony Handycam HDR-CX115E Camcorder - Black

This camcorder was bought after reading various reviews as we wanted something small and compact for a trip to New York.
Well firstly.... small and compact it is, i was absolutely amazed by its size and lightness when i took it out of the box, it fit snuggly into my hand with no weight at all. You might read reviews saying it will tuck into a pocket, well it will easily.
Regarding picture quality it was brilliant, connected to our 50in HD TV with hdmi lead(not supplied) it was clear and the colours did not 'wash'. Even at full zoom the picture remained clear with minimal camera shake.
I have not tried the camera function but i do not think anyone would be expecting much from this as it is only 3.1mp.
It was easy to use with touch screen menu although this is i suppose the only slight niggle, it is so small and compact that 'big fingers' might need to get use to it (i did).

The Sony Handycam HDR-CX115E is a small but surprisingly feature-packed, high-quality camcorder. It's comparatively cheap and easy to use, too. Still photos aren't much cop, but this is a fine video device in all other respects.

What I like? It's nice to look at, easy to operate, the view screen is a reasonable size. It plays back easily and quickly and the picture quality is good for it's class. What I don't like? The memory card is too small for an evenings recording. You need to purchase a much bigger one. I use 7dayshop.com and I find they are the cheapest around. Some of the icons on the buttons aren't always obvious for their use. The low light facility is not very satisfactory. But overall, it's a good one for it's price.

cant tell yet still being repaired. am expecting good things when i get it back.brought product with a fault on it.
