Superb Car Stereo
I bought this stereo for my dad for Xmas. I have a similar model in my car and thought he would benefit from the bluetooth hands free calls and music streaming like I do. Which he does. The unit itself it stylish and very simple to use and packed with features. With it's impressive 52W x 4 amplification, You'd be hard pressed to find a stereo like it. Sure this model is a few years old now. But there are some great 2nd hand units going for great prices on ebay. I often see people looking to find bluetooth hands free devices and they go for the expensive one use systems which involve some wiring and careful placement in your car. But with one of these you have a tuner, CD player and a device which will allow you to stream your music from your mp3/phone also. It's microphone is built in to the fascia and allows you to send and receive calls brilliantly even with road noise in the background. Oh and did I mention it has a remote also.
Want to listen to your mp3's in your car wirelessly and accept and make calls whilst driving effortlessly and legally. You can't go wrong with the SONY MEX-BT2500.
Sony Car CD/MP3 Player with Bluetooth
FM radio, CD player, AUX for the ipod and bluetooth for the mobile all in one unit!!! Fits into a standard car DIN stereo opening with very little effort using standard power and speaker jack plugs. Great product highly recommended.
Sony MEX-BT2500 CD Player
This is a superb Radio CD. I fitted into my wifes Street KA and the difference in sound quality is great even with the standard speakers. The bluetooth side is fantastic. Switch on your phone, get in the car and switch on the radio and thats all there is to it. The rest is automatic. The sound quality at both ends of the call is very good. This has been replaced by the Sony MEX-BT2600 CD Player which is supposed to be even better
Great player but look out....
I think this CD player is well worth getting! it works great and has so many features. If you have music on your phone you can actually stream music from it and it plays through your car speakers.
One thing i will say... If your car doesn't have the 'compatible adapter' it can cost quite a bit (£25 in my case) to get the adapter to fit and on top of that the red and yellow power wires were the wrong way round and so it kept losing my stored stations and clock every time the ignition went off! To make sure these wires are the right way round make sure that the unit beeps at you when you turn off the ignition when the face panel is on. This means its all wired correctly!!!!

2 birds with 1 stone - MP3 stereo and bluetooth car kit
For around the £80 to £90 price bracket this is an excellent CD head unit that combines many brilliant features. For a start it is a good car stereo that plays MP3s, WMAs and CDs on both CDRs and CDRWs (as you't expect from Sony). The killer feature for me it the fact that it incorporates a bluetooth car handsfree kit (this separately could cost you the price of the stereo). So if you are listening to you music and you receive a call on your bluetooth enabled handset, the music will mute and you can take your call through the head unit, with sound coming through your car speakers. Even better though, if you have A2DP built into your phone, you can stream all the music on your phone, in stereo, through your car speakers. Another thing I really liked is the fact that you get an infra red mini remote with the unit so passengers can take control, should you wish to allow them! On the downside though, the unit itself could look a little better (currently looks like a budget unit) BUT for me the feature far outway this little niggle.
