This is an excellent game console for all ages.
I love this game console as my 8 year old plays on his all the time, has excellent games to play on and easily transportable, just put in a bag or the children play with them in the car. My son takes his wherever he goes, and i have just bought another as my 4 year old wants to play one as well.
This console has excellent graphics, and sound quality and once charged seems to last forever.

It's best really to keep my comments to my experiences of purchasing a second-hand PSP. I'm pretty sure the model I bought dates back to the first Japanese release as early as 2005. What is so remarkable about the PSP is that in this day-and-age of consoles failing regularly, the PSP which I received still works very robustly.
There were accurate descriptions in the listing of minor wear, including a fault to the analogue pad. After a few minutes maintenance, I discovered that the fault to the pad was simply that the casing was screwed together too loosely. Within minutes this was fixed. Even the slightly unreliable eject button on the UMD drive has come back to life through regular use. The minor marks which I took to be dead pixels, turned out to be dirt on the inside of the screen casing.
In summary, the PSP is an incredibly robust piece of technology, still going strong after 7 years of service. I lacks the bells, whistles and social features of the modern consoles, but had a great library of some unique titles. The recent addition to download games from the PSN store, including PS1 classics, is what has ultimately brought me back to the PSP and I am glad to have done so.
fantastic item worth every penny.

psp 2000 slim
i recently purchased a psp 2000 slim on ebay, it is in excellent working order, i bought it for my son who is coming up to 6 years of age, the reason for the purchase was that i was looking for more than a gamimg machine as i have a caravan and i needed something for my son to do if the weather is bad and if he is fed up of games he could put a movie on instead. The pro's of this machine is that it has a huge range of games and movies and some can be purchased for a few pounds used, the system can be used for your own music, video's and movies which can be down loaded from your computer on to the games system's sony prostick, there are also cheaper sticks on the market so you can have a few with movies on them, there is a two player mode that links up with other psp's, the battery has a good game life,a larger screen, and it can also be use to play games/films via your tv a psp components cable is required for this and can be purchased on ebay for a few pounds, now there are a few con's that i may like to add, first that there seems to be a base of games/movies for the 12-20 years but not so many for kids around my son's age, there is a better choice with the nintendo ds range and also the downloading movies to the psp is tedious to say the least, i have tried a few times since i have had it to put a movie onto the prostick but even though i get the movie on the stick the psp fails to recognise the movie, i have'nt tried music or photo's on the system as of yet, all in all i think the psp is an excellent item and it was well worth the money i paid for it...beware that the does not seem to be a lot of girly games out there even though they do a pink version so if you have a daughter do a bit of game research to see if there is enough games available before buying.
