The PSP in my opinion is a fantastic device although I'm probably being biased having had the original PSP for many years.
This PSP in comparison to the original is very light and offers better graphics and extra features such as being able to link the PSP to the TV for viewing videos on the TV, having not tried this I cannot attest to this feature.
The main advantages for me that this PSP offers are:
> Superb Video output on a good sized screen, with which video conversion does not really take to long.
> Better UMD drive than the original - which after many years of use became warped. This version by the looks of it should last a good deal longer.
> Broad game choice especially considering the PSN (Playstation Network).
> Expansion slot for potentially upto 32GB for storage.
> Excellent Music Playback with support for Tags incl. Album artwork.
> Internet Browser - which is simple and easy to use but not as powerful as tablet or desktop/laptop browsers but thats to be expected.
> Fantastic photo viewer but limited by the devices performance when it comes to HD or high resolution images.
The only downsides I have are:
> If you don't like the color or you feel a newer shell for the PSP is needed then there is a good deal of difficulty involved in changing the shell.
> There is not screen protector and one is not even supplied with the console.
> USB mini port has not protective cover from dust and dirt.
On the whole however the PSP 3000 is a console for anyone who enjoys games on the go or just wants it to view videos or listen to music anywhere or whenever they want.

Find out how portable gaming has changed forever with some essential facts about the exciting next generation portable entertainment system, the PlayStation Vita.
A feast for your eyes
As PSP has already proved, portability is no excuse for poor quality displays. Which is why PlayStation Vita is equipped with a brilliant organic light emitting diode (OLED) 5-inch screen for incredible picture quality. You can treat yourself to rich, visually striking graphics never seen before on a portable entertainment system. So no matter what form of entertainment you're enjoying - movies, videogames or other digital content - has the visual power to dazzle.
Why you're always in control
Videogames are all about versatile and engaging entertainment - so why limit the possibilities? PlayStation Vita expands your options with its impressive range of controls which ensure you always have your scintillating gameplay at hand. The glossy OLED 5-inch display is also a touch screen, capable of picking up multiple touches at the same time. A revolutionary touch pad at the back of the system means three-dimensional hand motions such as pulling and grabbing are also easy.
None of this means you'll be without options for more traditional game experiences. PlayStation Vita packs a variety of buttons and two analog sticks, as well as motion sensing functions that react when you tilt and turn the system. Your portable gaming experience has never been so capable, no matter what type of game you're playing.
Have a blast with the freshest games
PlayStation Vita is dedicated to bringing you some of the highest quality videogame entertainment on a portable device. With its unique and versatile control options, you can expect unique experiences. Don't forget that some of the biggest PlayStation exclusive series will be hitting the system as well, such as Uncharted, Killzone and WipEout.
If you're a PSP owner already, any PSP titles you have previously downloaded from PlayStation Store will be playable on PlayStation Vita, along with minis and PS one Classics. You'll also be able to download new PlayStation Vita games and other content directly from PlayStation Store.
For non-downloadable games, PlayStation Vita uses an innovative flash based memory card which stores full software titles, any add-on game content and game save data.

There's not much I don't love really...

The PSP is dying. Fact. Which is sad really as I think it's a brilliant high-quality gaming platform.
It's gorgeous in my opinion, and comes in stunning colours. The screen is high resolution and the graphics are amazing (especially if you're used to playing on something like the Nintendo DS - which gets far more sales per year than the PSP) however the sound is as good as it's gonna get for such a small console.
I love the PSP the most for how handy it is when it comes to travelling. It really is a portable Playstation, you can play music, videos and view photos - as well as play the games to keep you entertained (obviously). The only thing that bugs me is that the PSP only recognises certain formats. For example, the videos on my laptop are mostly in AVI format, but the PSP will only play MP4/MPEG-4 so it means I have to download a converter to be able to put playable videos on my console. Kinda sucks... but nevermind.
I haven't connected my PSP up to the internet yet so I can't really advise anyone on that, sorry. The main reason I bought one was because I really love a particular series that released it's most recent game onto the PSP only. I was gutted... but not anymore :D I'm soooo glad I bought this as I only have a PS2 so I can't play any new games. The PSP has a wide range of stuff to play as most of the games for the PS3 get released onto the PSP too. I've seen loads of games I'm dying to play so I'm excited.
Basically there's not much point in buying one of these if you have a PS3, unless you really miss your games when you're on the move. For those like me who don't have one, then I advise investing in a PSP - especially if you've seen a game you really want to play. My advice though... these things are expensive, so try and get them second hand. Unless you have loads of money to buy a new one. I'm fussy so I had to really hunt for the Mystic Silver I wanted, but now I have it, it's really worth it. Have fun gaming guys!

I will admit i got the better end of a bargain, but if you don't get the same, i would still say that the PSP 3000 is still worth the money.
Connects to the internet, you can watch your videos (only in MP4 format though) you can view your pictures and use them as a theme or background and you can listen to your music too, even WMA playback allowed (has to be activated in settings menu first)
I even bought an AV cable for mine to hook it up to the TV, which is great for videos and image viewing, but i wouldn't highly recommended it for game play as the screen view is still rather small and the quality is lost a little too. That as well as the cable is a little small so you practically have to be sat under the TV to play. But for videos, it's awesome, much more portable than a portable DVD player.
Overall it's simple to use and the guide is easy to follow. Opens up a whole new world of games and allows you to bring back the old classics from the PS1 via the PSN Store. The battery has an excellent life on it too!

I got this item because it is a good console,I gave it good ratings because the person was very quick in sending it out and the write up was great.I like that the psp 3000 has got some many colours and I have got all the other colours but I did not have this one,vie got all the other makes of psp like the psp 1000,2000,3000 and psp go.the picture is good it's bright and very clear,I whisk only one thing that is I would like the screen to be a little bit bigger.I like that you can get nearly every game and film on it,so if you want to watch a film or program you can,I don't no if psp would make something so you could watch tv.
