Sony PSP Go
Created: 01/04/11
The PSP Go is a version of the PlayStation Portable handheld game console manufactured by Sony. Unlike previous PSP models, the PSP Go does not feature a UMD drive, but instead has 16 GB of internal flash memory to store games, video, pictures, and other media. This can be extended by up to 32 GB with the use of a Memory Stick Micro (M2) flash card. Also unlike previous PSP models, the PSP Go's rechargeable battery is not removable or replaceable by the user. The unit is 16% lighter and 35% smaller than the PSP-3000. It has a 3.8" 480 × 272 LCD which slides up to reveal the main controls.
The PSP Go features 802.11b Wi-Fi, USB connectivity and Bluetooth connectivity, enabling the use of compatible Bluetooth headsets and tethering with Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones. This also enables users to connect and play games using a Sixaxis or DualShock 3 PlayStation 3 controller or Bluetooth Headset.
Because the PSP Go does not feature a UMD drive, games are downloaded from the PlayStation Store. There are three ways to access the PlayStation Store. The PSP Go can directly download to itself, or users can also download then transfer the games from a PlayStation 3 or the Media Go software on Windows based computers only.

Review for: Sony PSP go 16 GB Piano Black Handheld System
Very nice little console, light and easy to use. Screen is a good size and very clear for games and films.
I have no problems with the console and package I purchased, very good value for money.
However, I will say about the 10 games included in the package... we installed the GoMedia onto the computer and registered for the 10 free games via that (4th nov).Received an email confirming the registration and waited the 30 days for the code to be emailed, only to be told after that time (we phoned the helpline) that you have to register for the games via your console!!
So now having spent a month waiting, having bought the console in plenty time allowing for the 30 days for the games...we now have to wait another 30 days, which possibly means my 10 year old daughter is going to be disappointed come Christmas day when the games are not there! So, word of advice for anyone else... Register For Free Games Via The Console!!!

Review for: Sony PSP go 16 GB Piano Black Handheld System
This product is going to be a killer device reasons being:
1. psp1000 good for sony first psp that came out killed nintendo ds in game play functions simple and the graphics.
2. psp2000 same as the psp1000 just 1 or 2 features that changed and just re designed no point in buying , but killed its enemy nintendo ds lite with the release nintendo ds/lite absolute rubbish no point in the making of that graphics absolute rubbish and not worth anyones time. The good features of it is spending abit buying a r4,m3,edge to add ipod feature watch a video even that is rubbish because the battery life is a drainer seriously no good give it a 1 out of 5.
3. psp3000 once again redesigned with 1 or 2 features changes and liter suprinsly losing to the nintendo dsi which is shocking they just added a crapy 2 megapixel camera can not even record video with flash memory of 2gig seriously what are you going to do with crappy memory and camera honestly it is made for 5 year old kids the games are really immature but psp3000 didnt own reasons being same design as previous ones and nothing changed
4.NOW THE PSPGO-PSP 4000 . It is completely re designed people say it looks like the psp mylo but it is just the slide up feature the rest of sony mylo absolute rubbish pspGO! has 16gb flash memory an extenabale memory slot you can add extra memory which is great for MOVIES PICTURES GAMES and it is very small so you can take it any where you wish im assuming battery life will be better then previous models and it will reach up 32gb because of external memory competing with ipod touch and killing nintendo by a long shot.
i really think sonyGO is a 4 out of 5. and it is not going to be like the products you buy and never use!

So with a hefty price tag and not many notable features, what really gives the PSP Go! its value?
First of all you have 16GB of built in memory for storage, a pretty useful feature if you don't want to be paying extra for a memory card.
The blue-tooth features are fantastic, allowing you to play your PSP Go! with the use of a PS3 controller or turn your PSP into a phone using a Blue-tooth headset and Skype.
The screen on the machine is much better and clearer than any previous model and the sound is far superior too.
It took me quite a while to figure it out but the battery life also exceeds that of the PSP-3000.
The wi-fi capabilities and the data transfer speed on the USB port have also been greatly improved compared to previous models.
The only downside to this console is that the design isn't as ergonomic as I would have hoped, it can be uncomfortable to hold, but the amount of accessory packs that come with pads to make the PSP Go! feel like a PS3 controller. These packs are cheap as chips and should prevent this from ever being an issue.
However the latest deal offered by Sony is the real knee slapper. Sony Computer Entertainment are currently offering 10 free games with any PSP Go! purchase and what they neglect to mention is that buying a PSP Go! from eBay and getting rid of all the information of a previous owner DOES NOT count. Even though you have purchased a PSP Go! and renewed it to its manufacturer state.
So if your buying this as an upgrade to your PSP-3000 then think for a minute because the lack of UMD features can be a pain and a blessing, without having to worry about carrying or damaging your games, all you need is your PSP console, on the other hand there is no way of getting your already purchased games as downloadable content...
So the best choice is to upgrade aware of this and realise that the PSP Go! has tremendous potential which is why I would rate it at 4 out of 5 with only a few minor problems holding it back.
If your buying a console for the promotion, I highly recommend you do not buy one from eBay as you will not be eligable.

a very good console, better that the original i think. doesnt have umd drive so is much slimmer and smaller because of slide out screen. plenty of space + you can add more with a memory card. got the particular model with the 10 free games to download so bonus!
