Okay, so I've had my PS3 for almost a year now, and I can honestly tell you that it is the best purchase I have ever made. Some people say that 'the WiFi service is abysmal', or that 'Move is far worse than Kinect is', or 'it doesn't make toast'. I don't believe any of this. Well, apart from the toast thing. Yeah, it doesn't do that. Sorry.

Firstly, the most important thing is my opinion, the graphics. I've always found the graphics on the PS3 to be top quality, even when on AV, but to be honest, if you really want to play, HDMI is the way forward. Don't get me wrong, AV is fine, but if you want to have the advantage over a sniper a mile away in a multiplayer game of CoD, you're gonna need those extra pixels. Some bullets might come in handy, too. I can't say about the Xbox 360, but my understanding is that they're pretty equal. So no-one's winning just yet.

Next. The gameplay. As you would expect, the gameplay is identical with the Xbox 360 for most games, so I'm going to briefly say that some of the games you can get (admittedly, the more expensive ones) are astoundingly good. FIFA 12, Assassin's Creed: Revelations, Call of Duty; all of these are amazing games with gameplay to match. But the thing that makes the PS3 stand out from the crowd are the exclusive games. Xbox 360 has Halo, but I don't like that. I have never liked Halo, and maybe it's just me. But one thing is certain - I am never going to want an Xbox 360 when I can only get Uncharted 3, Little Big Planet 2 and Modnation Racers on PS3. These games are at the top of my big stack o' games. The very top. Why? Because they are the best games I own. They have oomph. Is oomph a word? They have style. They have depth and they have fighting. Lots of fighting. Uncharted 3 is an action adventure set in the harshest of climates that is sure to have even the worst gamer in history on the edge of their seat. Little Big Planet 2 is an amazing feat of gaming as it incorporates child's play into a game that is rather difficult, and very, very fun, to complete. Added DLC packs give it the edge. Finally, Modnation Racers is the Mario Kart of Next-Gen consoles. And that, ladies and gemtlemen, is where the Xbox 360 falls short. Not graphics, and not looks of the console, which, to be frank, nobody cares about. It is Mario Kart. Because let's face it, if you haven't played Mario Kart, you have not lived.

Oh yeah. This is about the PS3. Okay, back to that. The controller is very easy to fit in your hands and if you are used to having your hands fitting around the controller rather than being bent awkwardly, this is for you. It just feels natural. We as humans are used to pressing X to go forward. We don't press A. Oh, no. We press X. A is for a keyboard. Or possibly as a scratched Triangle button.

Cost-wise, it's not the best. But then again, what is? For the Xbox 360, you had to pay an extra £50 to connect to the internet until about a year ago, and now they're still paying a good £50 more every year for Xbox Live. And so what if we get hacked sometimes. Who cares? It's so fun when you're on CoD and you suddenly run across the map, 30 feet in the air, and land directly on top of an enemy, killing them with your finger. And you have that moment where you think you are Chuck Norris. And you say 'Awww Yeah.'

So basically, the PS3 is great. I will have missed something, but who cares? Long story short, this is a great piece of kit and it's worth the money. And it's better than an Xbox 360.

Best value gaming hardware out there, and the best graphics of any console!

This console is a £400-500 Gaming PC basically, but at a fraction of the price. The graphics are significantly better than the xbox360, the controllers are better, built-in DVD support and you can use a controller as the remote, built-in power supply, built-in wireless and a built-in bluray player. This console is the top dog without a doubt, although it is a shame that the backward compatibility and linux installation options have now gone, otherwise I would actually recommend one of these to someone looking for a PC.
