Description
What do you get when you go mucking around with the genetic make-ups of arachnids and aliens? Either a Nobel Prize or a ‘screechingly’ painful death according to this low-budget tale. The story explores the adventures of several "too smart for their own good" science types, whose experiments with recombinant DNA lead to frightening consequences - namely, a herd of gigantic eight-legged critters with mandibles of steel and an appetite for human blood. As if that isn't enough, it seems that these hungry, hairy harbingers of the apocalypse need human hosts to incubate their young.

the effects are not bad and the spiders do look good but it did get a bit boring. i watched it twice over a couple years after forgetting it the first time, so not that great

I love my bad horror and sci fi films, but it was just too bad. The plastic spider was funny, but the plot was quite tedious. I wouldn't recommend it, unless your trying to upset an arachnophobic friend! Mind you, the plastic spider that doesn't even move it's legs isn't really going to scare anyone.
