Iggy & The Stooges include: Iggy Pop (vocals); James Williamson (guitar); Scott Thurston, Bob Sheff (keyboards); Ron Asheton (bass); Scott Asheton (drums).<BR>Includes liner notes by Greg Shaw.<BR>All tracks have been digitally remastered.<BR>This is part of Bomp Records "Theiguana Chronicles" series. <BR>Although Bomp Records has been issuing Stooges live recordings and demos for some time now (including such titles as ROUGH POWER, CALIFORNIA BLEEDING, I'M SICK OF YOU, YEAR OF THE IGUANA, etc.), the 2001 release WILD LOVE: THE DETROIT REHEARSALS & MORE is one of the more interesting releases thus far. Comprised of 13 tracks that stretch to over an hour in length, the album features songs demoed from around the time of their 1973 classic RAW POWER, mixing originals with covers and impromptu jams. <BR>Longtime Stooges fans will have heard some of the material on previous import collections ("Wild Love," "Pin Point Eyes," "Til the End of the Night"), but the majority of the selections have never been issued before. Standouts include "Hey Baby," "I Come From Nowhere," and a deconstructed cover of the Cream tune "I'm So Glad," which features just Iggy Pop on vocals and James Williamson on guitar. For the longtime Stooges collector, WILD LOVE contains several essential selections.
