Thumbelina (DVD 2003)

Hans Christian Andersan's Thumbelina is a classic fairytale, i was pleased to find it on dvd as i had read the story and watched it on video. We all know the story of Thumbelina who is swept off her feet by a fairy prince but before their love can blossom, she is kidnapped by a family of toads, detained by a scheming beetle and forced to marry a mole! Its a magical story that reminds us that if we follow our hearts, nothing is impossible. The whole family will love this magical tale

I brought this for my daughter as she had a short version from Reader's Digest (which i couldn't stand because the animation was rubbish). I'd always liked Bluth/Goldman animation (American Tail and Anastasia) so I got this and she loves it. The story is just like the book, only the fairy prince is in it from the beginning and there a couple of new characters. At some points it feels like they are stalling to make the movie longer, but my five-year old didn't care. It's a very enjoyable film and beautiful. Any Jodi Benson fans should watch also!

i have always loved this film when i bought it for my kids on vhs when they were little, then i found it on dvd on ebay, its a fantastic film and im just a big kid at heart,

loved this film . I loved watching it as a child & bought it for my younger sister 2 watch as I had it on tape & we no longer have a tape player. she loves this film as she is a tinker bell fan & this film follows asimilar story line very enjoyable DVD 4 all the family highly recommend.

i brought this item because as a little girl i had it on vid i wanted to watch it but due to technology i couldnt bercause i have a dvd player! it was a bargain brand new and i enjoyed watching it again!!
