) Had this for a day, and had to send it back as it doesn't support the text to speech feature. It doesn't say the street names for direction.
Buy the XL IQ Routes version, not cheaper models!

) The XL has the advantage of a decent sized screen, compared to entry level TomTom models. Pay the extra few quide and get the XL!

The tom-tom unit its self is very good, possibly a little slow at times, but generally excellent. the lane guide feature is extremely useful on motorways.
The only thing stopping it getting 5/5 is the power cable and screen suction cup. The suction cup attatches well to the car windscreen, but does an appauling job of holding the satnav! its very tempremental in taking the unit, and has a tendancy to pop out when im typing onto the screen.
The power cable is extremly fiddly to put into the socket on the satnav, and unless you manage to line the two up perfectly, plugging it in is extremly difficult and annoying!
Dont let the rant at the end put you off, the unit its self is great!

I like the mapping on the Tomtom and had reviewed it on line befrore i bought it. The price was good so i bought it, Regards, Tom.
