Included with this internal hard drive is a 2 MB cache memory allowing users to quickly search for and retrieve their important data. Spindle speeds for this Toshiba MK6006GAH are 4200 RPM allowing a seek time of 15 ms -- designed for instantaneous file retrieval. Works perfectly as a replacement of the stock Dell drive in the X1 laptop... Performance is at leas ton par, though SANDRA reports it to be about 7% faster then the stock 40 GB
