Providing additional storage on a variety of portable digital devices, the Western Digital Scorpio Blue is an easy to install internal hard drive. Several compatibility tests or performed on each Western Digital 500 GB Hard Drive to ensure fit in several different situations. The Western Digital Scorpio Blue is approved for use with Windows 2000 and later as well as Mac operating systems. It connects via a SATA interface. Several technologies are implemented on the Western Digital 500 GB Hard Drive to protect data with ShockGuard shock protection and a method of keeping recording heads off the platters as much as possible. The low energy requirements on this internal hard drive keep battery life long with advanced seeking algorithms, while the WhisperDrive keeps operating noise to a minimum. The Western Digital 500 GB Hard Drive is perfect for use in laptops, music players, and other small applications, measuring just 6.8 mm by 69.9 mm by 100.2 mm (0.3 inches by 2.8 inches by 3.9 inches) and weighing 100 g (0.2 pounds).

Great drive, very quiet and fast. Works extremely well, ideal capacity versus cost. Ideal for many uses - backup, main drive compact servers, laptops well made general purpose unit. I would buy again.
