British Telecom Freestyle 750 Single Line Cordless Phone

I was looking on ebay to replace my phones,the ones we had were small dect type and i found them difficult to use due to the small numbers on the handsets and they were hard to replace back into the base.We saw the freestyle 750 and they were just what we were looking for,the handset was larger.you could see and use the buttons alot easier.The answering machine is very easy to use when you play back messages everything down to the handsfree speakerphone is so simple to use.I WOULD RECOMMEND this phone to everyone especialy elderly people who may have sight problems,or difficulty pressing the numbers.All in all an excellent phone,and suitable for my use There is nothing i do not like about the phone.

I bought a set of three of these phones, as I was having increasing difficulty with our previous phones and found it difficult to hear people because of my increasing deafness.

This Freestyle 750 phone claims to have an induction loop for use with hearing aids andf is advertised as good for hearing aid users. If it has it certainly doesn't work very well with NHS Spirit 3 digital aids. It is quite a big phone in relation to others on the market. In use the phone is very quiet, even when the volume control buttons on the side of the handset are turned up to level five. These buttons are also a pain when holding the phone, as they fall just underneath the fingers and are easily inadvertently adjusted. Another problem in use, is that the mute button is easily pressed when holding the phone against the face. Ergonomically this phone is very badly designed and is frankly a user disaster.

On the slightly plus side the speakerphone is easily turned on and can usually be heard with hearing aids - but not without them as the phone is very quiet even on full volume. The answer machine is good and useful and easy to use.

I'm glad I never paid the full recommended retail price for these, (mine are refurbished from BT shop), as I don't really think they are fit for purpose as advertised.

We really like this phone system which we purchased from The BT outlet through Ebay. Our old system was finally giving up. We bought the three phone system at a very reasonable price. The system is just right for our needs,Living room, Kitchen and bedroom.
On arrival unpacked the equipment folowwed the very clear instructions and after the initial battery charge on each handset connected the main base station to the phone socket and off we went.
The clarity is excellent. The system is simple to use with easy menu navigation.
Since purchase we have changed from a normal landline to fibre optic and unplugging from one system and connecting to the new was simple with no effect on the signal or clarity if anything there was some improvement.
The answer machine is accessible from each of the handsets and programming the phone book is easy although you have to add details to each handset.
Large buttons and screen make it easier to use for those of us of the 'Older generation'.
A great purchase with which we are very pleased.

I already had a Twin Phone set-up of the BT Freestyle 750 phone and wanted to add another extension.
I must admit that I struggled to connect the phone myself (the buyer I bought it off talked me through it), the reason being I'm not very bright when it comes to things like this.
However after having it explained to me I do not know why I could not do it myself.
The Phone works fine and I would reccommend this brand to anyone who wishes to install a multi-room cord-less telephone system.

i only had a single freestyle 750 phone and have been unable to get extra handsets anywhere until i checked out this site on ebay. i could have purchaced multi phone sets from a local store but i wanted to keep my original phone as it is so easy to use and with the large numbers it it so easy to see without my glasses. if i ever need to replace i would go for the same set again.
