With 8 PMR channels to choose from the Cobra microTALK Two Way Radio offers options for multiple users. 121 Privacy Codes consist of 38 CTCSS codes and 83 DCS codes to ensure a secure line of communication. The user has 10 tones available for a call option. He or she can also elect to have a vibrating alert on their Cobra microTALK Two Way Radio. Waterproof cases and headsets are available with the Cobra Electronics microTALK Twin Two Way Radio. A Cobra microTALK MT 975 Twin Two Way Radio has voice detection that permits the user to transmit without pressing a physical button. Cobra Electronics microTALK Twin Two Way Radio has a dual watch feature that can be programmed to monitor different Dual Watch Locations. A battery-saver feature extends the life of the Cobra Electronics microTALK MT 975 Twin Two Way Radio to last for three 8-hour days with normal use. ) I've been using the Cobra MT975 for some weeks now, and generally with favourable results. Obviously the range varies enormously, over open ground it gets close to manufactureres claims, but realistically in built up areas can come down to well under a mile. Even so I am happy with the results overall. I have used far more expensive two ways and got little better results for two or three times the outlay, so with it's batteries and docking station included I think overall it's a good buy.

) A well made, robust pair of radio's, used for co-ordinating during hunting rabbits on a golf course, range is good, I've used them up to 4 miles with the throat mike and had very good reception. If it has a fault, it would be that it is not waterproof, apart from that a good alround pair of radio's with a long battary life.
Instructions could be clearer, without my military back ground they seem complicated? once you get past the tech speak then it gets easier.

Nicely packaged device - Very simple to use and good clarity when communicating.
My only advice when using the radio is there will more than likely be a number of other devices in range and most seem to be using the default channel 1 - Once you retune to another frequency and use a sub-code (couple of button presses) and you're away!

Like most walkie Talkies reception varies even in what appears to be ideal terrain well within range. Like other reviewers the inclusion of a credit card type of basic instructions would be helpful until you get to grips with it. That said I am pleased with my purchase and it fills my needs ( 95%) of the time
