Dell Latitude D600 14.1" 1.8 GHz Laptop PC

The Dell D600 is a very good all-round notebook. The casing is of stronger construction than many other notebooks and Dell provide very comprehensive information on-line for servicing and support purposes. It belongs to the Latitude range and shares power supply, docking station and ancillary drives across the family. A particular virtue over many competitor notebooks is the facility to substitute an extra battery for the ancillary drive - this doubles operational endurance when off the mains.

By the standards of many of the more modern laptops the B1VP is getting a bit old. You shouldn't let that put you off.

If you running Windows XP rather than Vista it's got plenty of performance. At 40GB the hard drive needs to be kept tidy as it gets used up quite quickly.

The weight of just over 2kg with a screen size of 14" and a battery life of around 3 hours all make it a good performer to combine being portable with reasonable performance.

I've got one and I think it's fine.

I always buy Dell PCs, because they are good quality, reliable, and supported by an excellent manufacturers website with all the manuals and drivers. This machine was a birthday present for a friend, to provide relatively fast and reliable access to the Internet (mostly Facebook, I am sorry to say) at a very reasonable price.

This system is easy and light weight, speedy. Mostely my friends likes this system. I had only bad experience with dell d 800, but dell 600 or d 610 is a good mechine.
