Dell XPS 15 15.6" 2.66 GHz Laptop PC

Bought for my son (17th)BD present; I have been using Dell Laptops all along; my own one is XPS M1530; bought a few yrs ago - no problems what-so-ever;

XPS 15 (L502x) : Solid built; good finish keyboard and metalloid alluminum cover;
High-end CPU with 2Gb GPU GT540M ; great machine especially bought from E-bay reseller (i.e good value for money) and definitely this laptop still will be a high-end product throughout his uni years to come.

This is review is for the i7-2630 model, 4GB ram, 750gb HDD and 2GB GeForce 540M.

Top quality piece of kit. Was initially worried about the bulk but has been fine. Sound quality excellent and extremely powerful, not problems with current games and video encoding, likely more power than i'll need for a while. Battery life is excellent for such a powerful laptop when just web browsing, around 3 hours.

Fan is a little noisy and GFX does tend to run hot so worth checking when it arrives.

Bought from ebay and really think I got a great deal. Brand new unboxed pc with i7 chip and top notch specification.....the speakers are amazing and sounds as good as my Pure digital radio.

I was replacing a Sony Vaio so was nervous to try another brand but really this is better in many ways and looks stylish too.

It's quick large and not really for everyday carrying as I'm sure there are smaller machines out there for that but this really is a fantatistic spec for the price I paid (around £600)

Totally recommend you consider this one!!

Powerful stuff. Hight class. Amazing sound. Great for gaming,for music, or just surf in web. Love backlit keyboard. My new love dell xps!!! =]

This is definately the best laptop I have owned. I bought after many reviews for video editing and it does that easily HD or whatever.

It is bulky but for me that is not an issue because most of the time it sits in front of me.

A little noisy as the HD churns up, but hell so am I!
This laptop is not worth the £1,000 odd new, but certainly well worth the £650 I paid for it.
