DeLonghi CT04 4-Slice Toaster

Looks nice, but under the skin is possibly the nastiest, cheapest toaster i've ever bought. Have seen better quality toasters in "Bargain Shops". The fact that it's Italian (DeLonghi) should have warned me. Not exactly renowned toast experts, after all. Despite looking very sturdy and rugged, when you pick it up you realise just what a flimsy, nasty item this is. Can't comment on its toasting ability as it was defective when i got it. However, the controls are loose, and very cheap-looking (that's because they are). The levers seem to be hanging on by a thread, can't see them lasting much continuous use. Considering that the retail price of these is over £60, i think Delonghi are definitely having a laugh. If you were to pick one of these up and mask the branding, i think you'd be hard pushed to value it at anything above £20. They say "looks aren't everything" and, in this case, absolutely true! If you want my advice, stay well clear of this overpriced piece of junk!

good toaster...looks good...toasts good...cant fault...buy it & see...glad i replaced the two slice toaster...

Looks great with good retro dials. Toasts quite evenly but is quite slow and the dials need to be turned up to almost maximum before it brows the bread. Thick slices sometimes need putting back a second time before toasted properly. Not totally convinced I bought and actual DeLonghi!

I had one of these toasters for 6 years, usually I get rid of appliances very quickly due to wear and tear, fashion, or just getting plain fed up of them! However, due to emmigrating I gave it away, but now i'm back, i'll be looking for another one!

This toaster looks great with it`s retro styling and work`s as good as it looks if you can find one at the right price buy it.
