'I haven't read such a stunning thriller debut for years. Brilliantly written and totally gripping' .

'An intelligent, complicated page-turner with a wide-ranging plot and two of the most original sleuths I've ever come across'.

'Blomkvist and Salander are vivid and complex creations who lodge in the hearts and minds of readers... Larsson's books sparkle with wit and playfulness... I doubt you will read a better book this year'.

'So much more than a thriller... a dazzling novel' .

An intelligent, complicated page-turner with a wide-ranging plot and two of the most original sleuths I've ever come across. --

. . I doubt you will read a better book this year. --

A striking novel, full of passion, an evocative sense of place and subtle insights into venal, corrupt minds --This text refers to an alternate Paperback edition.

Stieg Larsson's Millenium Trilogy

Created: 16/04/11
The Girl Who Played with Fire by Stieg Larsson is the second book in his trilogy called Millenium. The first book, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo was so fantastic that I couldn't wait to get the second book, which I have to say was even better than the first book. I would highly recommend Stieg Larsson's books, they are brilliantly written and make compulsive reading.

This is the second book in the Millennium Trilogy written by the late Stieg Larson. I am a little behind the world (as these books were released a little while ago) and there was a great flurry of excitement when they were published - as I recall. I cannot believe I haven't picked up one of these books sooner! They are simply fabulous and Stieg's writing is faultless as it flows quite succinctly throughout the book. Throughly enjoyable and I can't wait to read the third book 'The Girl who Kicked the Hornets Nest'................. Brilliant!

I read the first book in this series under sufferance as a relative had brought it for me saying it was marvellous so, you know, the pressure was on! Well, I couldn't put it down so had to buy the second book (and all the original dvds). You could say I'm well and truly hooked. Fabulous writing, fabulous heroine. What a girl.
