This replaced number 4 (Goblet of Fire) as my favourite quite quickly and easily. The writing is far more mature and the characters and situations continue to enthrall. Harry's fifth year at Hogwarts begins with an assassination attempt upon himself and his cousin Dudley. This is quite a dark book dealing with the emotional impact of his past 4 years including the death of certain characters in the previous one. It introduces one of the most hateful characters Harry comes across and one of the most enjoyable times - Dumbledores Army! It did make you feel as if you would love to be there with them. The world seems to be fleshed out more and there are a few surprises. New characters are introduced and some old ones reappear. Love this one!

Bought this for my goddaughters 8th birthday & she is absolutely made up with it. She loves the stories, the context in how is written & any illustrations. Although she has seen all the films she is still massively pleased with having the book box set also.

Great book, really enjoying it. Hardback is more expensive but well worth it because it protects the book more. Looking forward to finishing the series.

Brilliant book

Most of us have heard of Harry Potter well I thought it was time for my son to read it.. He has flicked through it and really cannot wait to get stuck in.

My son has autism and finds the H P books good because of the way that J.K.Rowling describes her characters it helps him have an image in his mind.

Excellent and worth a read.

it is the longest out of the 7 books, but it is one of the best stories.
