Much better than my previous Humax PVR 9200T, although that worked ok there was some picture breakup and the Guide took ages to populate.
The Fox T2 has neither of these problems.
The HD pictures are very good on our Panasonic Plasma but not as good as on my daughters Sky setup on a similar TV, but this is a much cheaper option.
The recording (1TB) and playback work fine.
The only downside is that the powersaving standby mode stops the TV signal going through to the TV.
So the TV cannot be watched without using the PVR.
Turning off the powersaving mode avoids this issue but that defeats the objective.
Otherwise very happy.

Humax Fox T2 HD TV Tuner
Created: 09/09/10
I bought this Tuner as an upgrade to my previous panasonic freeview tuner, as this one is HD. The few HD freeview channels that are available are superb. However I would say the volume is a good 2o% lower than my old panasonic tuner and I find quite often many of the channels drop out because of poor signal quality/strength even though I'm using it with a signal booster, and yet my panasonic tuner never dropped out at all, neither do any of my other tv's around the house. I purchased this tuner on the strength of web reviews and that Humax is said to be one of the better brands. I would mark this tuner average as I guess it's only any good when you can watch uninterupted tv without the picture dropping out.

I purchased the Humax PVR with a little trepidation because our earlier PVR (cant remember the make)died a sudden death, also I'm not much into reading instruction manuals. So I was pleasantly surprised to find how simple it was to set up. Frankly it more or less does it by itself although you do have to take it out of the box and plug it in. From there on in it has been a pleasure to use, it is just so intuitive. Just go to the program guide, highlight the program for recording, there follows a few simple choices like would you like to record the whole seris (if approprate)? would you like this prog that is similar? etc. And oh yes, trailer booking. Your watching a trailer for a prog next week and a box comes up on the screen, just press a botton and hay presto. The recording quality is excellent, its quiet, good looking, energy efficient and packed with features ( although I dont know just what it is capable of because as I said I havn't read the book.) Its easy to find what is recorded and just as easy to delete program when you have finished with them. So It's a thumbs up from me.
