Near perfect design.
This is my second 1st Gen shuffle, they are cheap, reliable, light, and simple. This simplicity gives ease of use and ensures nothing can go wrong. My first shuffle endured falls, rain and dirt. It only met its end when left in a pocket and put through the wash, even then it was rust free and the led still worked.
Some prefer their mp3 players to have a screen so that they can watch videos on the train or flick through holiday snaps, however my only use for an mp3 player is music and I couldnt recommend a better one. Im sure i will at some point destroy or loose another first gen shuffle, at which point im sure buy another.
best money i spent, better then the touch and nano which i also have.
| Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.
i started with the ipod shuffle 1st gen and then went on to buy the nano and touch!
out of the 3..i personally believe the ipod 1st gen is the loudest..does little things like has a button to press in order to gauge your battery life, and for me was by far the best and easiest to use when out!!!
i would hang it around my neck and would put it under my top, because the buttons are so easily accessible and well placed..i could control it by just pressing over my top.
with the touch you have to keep taking it out to see what you are doing, the nano clips on,but again you also have to look at what you are doing, but the shuffle made listening to music so easy :)just a simple press!
even though i have the later versions of the 1st gen,its a case of olds always best!!!
after this model practicality went out the window for style :(
i hope this helps
I was determined to learn something about these modern gadgets which my grandchildren are so expert at operating! So a low-cost, basic model was obtained on eBay. I eventually learned how to use it, though it took me quite a time to discover the ins and outs of permitted audio formats. The sound quality, through high quality ear-phones (Koss's The Plug), is surprisingly good. I'm a classical music lover & so rather fussy! Worst thing about this particular model is the slide switch, which is difficult to operate. I solved this by glueing a small button onto it. I get about an hour's worth of classical music.
Good fun, astonishing technology.
Apple iPod shuffle
Love the small and compact nature of this beast. It was bought as a 'first try' ipod for a not very technically minded husband to enable him to download his Mark Knoffler collection. The price I paid of £23, was very good. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on something that he might not use. If this product is used, understood and enjoyed, I will acquire it and buy him a more up to date version for Christmas. So far, it looks promising and is certainly being enjoyed as a 'new toy'
the first and the best apple
