LEGO Star Wars Luke's Landspeeder (#8092)

Yet another excellent Star Wars LEGO set! Including Luke, Obi-Wan, R2D2, C3PO and an extremely well-dressed storm-trooper, the MiniFigures that come with this set are arguably the most desirable you can get at this price. The Landspeeder itself is of course very cool, being as accurate a representation as you could realistically achieve in LEGO at this scale. Takes around 20-30 mins to build carefully.

I had the original Lego Star Wars Landspeeder, of which this set is based, so bought this one as a fondness to that memory. Although with time, it has improved. This set featuring more than the original (namely the droids and the stormtrooper)

Although I don't agree with the inflation that has occured with lego over the years; if you need a gift for a fan of classic lego and star wars, then (if I may paraphrase the film) this is the set you're looking for

I guess it depends on what you are buying this set for.

If it's collecting - it's perfect.
If it's playing - it's perfect.
If it's for building the craft - it's really good.

The sheer volume of great characters in this set is its selling point - so if that is why you want the set, it's a bargain. If, like I say, it's the building side of things that you are interested in, then there are more advanced ones out there. But all-in-all this is a brilliant set.

Good attention to detail all round on the model, some nice minifigs included. Only downside to construction is the slightly loosely attached rear engine, but I have a feeling it's intentional to provide stowage space for things like the lightsaber blades.

For the money - it is excellent value - some lego does not give you much for your pennies but I cannot wait for my son to open this tomorrow. It has some nice big bits as well as the traditional fiddley bits to do and the extra characters are great.
