LG BD550 Blu-Ray Player

Dead easy to use.
Mine was modded for region free Blu-ray and DVD and it works perfectly.
I have had it spit the dummy and crash with 2 .mkv files so far but that is, by far, the minority of the time.
I have tried Blu-rays, DVDs, .wmv, .mt2s, .avi and .mkv files on my 50 inch Panasonic 1080p plasma and they all look great.
The big plus for me here with this player is it plays .mkvs etc etc burned to disc as well as from a flash drive or hard drive through the USB port.
The player is small, light and quiet.
I am very happy with my purchase.

brilliant bit of kit usb function is priceless well worth the money.........only one complain is some mkv files wont play off usb but do on a disk

we bought this product because obviously we wanted to watch blu-ray films. it is very good value for the money we paid for it. so far we have had no problems with it.it is very easy to use cannot compare it as we have not had another one. we would definately recommend it to anyone.

After reading at length many reviews I eventually took the plunge and ordered the Panasonic.
I was expecting it to be very complex and yes, I have had to refer to the manual a couple of times.
Generally speaking though it is very much common sense and I am very happy with the purchase.
Previously I had Sony HDD recorder and I thought I would miss it's ease of use.
I have been pleasantly surprised by the Panasonic.
Editing recorded programmes is easier.
The Panasonic makes suggestions for programmes you may like when recording a programme.
One thing that it is sadly lacking is the BBCi player when connecting to the internet.
I have read many times that Panasonic should get their finger out and update the machine with the BBCi app.
Over all though I am very pleased with the purchase after many months thinking about it.
I am glad I chose it.

Excellent service and so was recorder. Only one criticism, the instructions were all in FRENCH!!! Had to get LG to upload them in English, all 65 pages!! Otherwise great!!
