Absolutley fantastic, beautiful keyboard. The best I have ever used beyond the shadow of a doubt!
Range is good, typing sweet and useful function buttons to boot (with cool orange glow). Plus one REALLY useful mouse pad (also with cool orange glow!).
The touch sensitive volume controls and zoom buttons are also a welcome feature.
An awesome look and feel is achieved by keeping the keyboard real slim and using great quality black gloss plastic (with a metal wrist rest). We all know of course that black gloss plastic attracts finger prints like a mother.. but Logitech supply a decent cloth that'll get quite a bit of use.
One of this keyboards handiest features however, is its classy charging stand. The charging stand nicely displays your keyboard while not in use.
Although it really wont need charging that often as it has a great battery. (Lasts about 3 of the 4 weeks it boasts!)

My only real gripe with this keyboard (pricing aside) is its lack of back lighting for the standard keys. This major flaw is the only reason I have given 4/5 and if addressed in a later release will leave this keyboard neigh on perfect and a sure fire 5/5 product!

saves desk space, batteries last forever

    Created: 12/02/10
I use my computer for multimedia work, and as a media center. I decided to invest in a more compact and stylish keyboard with wireless functionality so I can control videos remotely

    PROS:

    1) Small + compact design saves desk space
    2) Batteries last so long that charging them isn't an object
    3) One of the best looking keyboards around
    4) Programmable hotkeys (via logitech profiler software) Hotkeys can be used to open/control anything
    5) Typing feels better than ever
    6) Extremely light considering it is wireless hardware
    7) Wireless works flawlessly from anywhere in the room regardless of obstruction

    CONS:

    1) No toggle for function key (you have to hold it down as well as F1/F2 etc)
    2) Trackpad response is mediocre, but it IS practical enough for basic use
    3) No numberpad - I thought I would only benefit from this but using the system calculator and some hotkeys in Adobe After Effects (video editing software) are just better suited to the numberpad keys
    4) Piano black finish needs cleaning more often...

All in all I am happy with it. It serves its purpose well and there seems to be an acceptable work around for any niggling problems

If you are happy to spend a lot on a classy keyboard and were considering the Logitech diNovo Edge, get it

    Logitech Dinovo Edge

I bought this keyboard to use on my PS3, along with the Linux(Ubuntu) installation, as it was one of the few bluetooth keyboards I found. I am happy to say that the keyboard paired with my PS3 easily, so I do not need to use the USB dongle, it connected to Linux easily as well.

Once connected to Linux, the keyboard was functional, the track pad worked as well, the volume slider worked, and half of the media keys worked straight away, the volume slider worked. There are a couple of media keys that are not functioning, and the horizontal scrolling on the track pad does not work, but I am looking into ways to fix these, and program the other media keys to do a different task.

The keyboard itself looks great, same sleek black design as the PS3, although this means that it attracts dust quite easily (there is a cleaning cloth, but the seller missed that item, so I cannot say if it works).

The lights on the keyboard look great, the track pad is a great design, takes a few days getting used to, you can put your finger at the point on on the edge of the pad, then drag your finger in circles around the track pad to scroll.

The volume slider is great, it looks the same as the rest of the keyboard, not like a track pad, and you can drag your finger up and down to adjust volume, and a light along the side moves along with your finger.

The battery lasts a very long time, supposed to be a month, mines been going for 3 weeks, a couple of hours each day, and is still not on low battery. A full charge is meant to only take about 2 hours, and the charging stand is great, as it props your keyboard up to show it off, and is really easy to put in and out, there are no clips or anything, it just cradles the keyboard.

    The ultimate keyboard

    Created: 21/10/08
Yes, it's a looker. Black, orange, and white. Not unlike the type of terminal which would appear in a seminal cyberpunk work, as conjured from a fertile imagination of the late-1990s.

But all in all, aesthetic appearance aside — and who, besides me, is going to be looking at this thrashed-out, worn shell of a keyboard after I've knocked hundreds of thousands of keystrokes into it, eh? — the Logitech DiNovo Edge feels great. I'm still getting used to how close the arrow keys are to the Page Up/Down and how big they've made the Delete key. Also, I wish key travel was less — it seems slightly more than my Apple, altho that may be because the key caps are elevated — but it's hard to hit the wrong keys because of how the force is distributed. They call this "PerfectStroke", which is somewhat of an exaggeration, but in my few-days experience thus far, not by much for this "two fingers and one thumb" typist.

I've seen the battery life consistently cited to be excellent, sayings like "Charge it once a month for an hour or so!" and I haven't measured that empirically, yet something very important — especially since it's wireless — to be aware of. Charging stand is sleek.

All in all, I'm giving this a 4/5, or eight out of ten… should you decide to scale in that fashion.

diNovo Edge (Logitech) - the cutting edge of innovation

    Created: 02/04/08
    likes:

    sexy looking design,
    very very thin,
study construction (made from plexi glass),
    buttons are not too sensitive,
range to use keyboard is very good,
works with ps3 AND pc and apparently with Apple Mac OSX as well!!
charging times, 5 minutes for one days worth of use, impressive!!
simple bluetooth pairing technique just press button on back of keyboard and usb device to sync,
when you switch it on it does a little light show (i know small things, haha)

    dislikes:

charging stand is a bit ugly but hey you cant have everything ;)
when charging you have to have the keyboard turned on to charge, which seems really bizarre - suppose the eco warriors will be beating logitechs door down about the carbon footprint left by these (lol) ;P

    why buy it?:

    1) it was a bargain as it was on ebay
    2) best keyboard I have EVER used (this includes work and personal ones)
    3) no more trailing wires, so kids don't trip on them
    4) works on multiple devices and no need to install special software to use it
    5) not only a functional keyboard but light, sexy and sturdy, a must buy !!!
