Makita BMR100 AM, FM Radio

it is very sturdy,it delivers good sound quality with outstanding bass for those friday afternoons!i was very suprised with its loudness for how compact it is!when im onsite i have little patients for finding a power source to power my radio when im moving between large areas so i am chuffed to bits with being able to run the radio on makita batteries that last for as long as 2 days even when turned right up!an excellent purchase and i use it everywhere.

Been looking for a dual (workshop and site) unit for a while , realise where I live DAB is a pointless feature but did want the plug in i pod option and having read reviews this seemed to fit the bill .Item duly arrived and after a brief look at the hand book was up and running in five mins .Like the no fuss controls ,clear sound,simple display and chunky style .Obvious only draw back (since my portable power packs are not Makita) is for site use I 'll have to purchase a charger / battery pack but was aware of this before I bought it. Radio in AM & FM modes is very clear generally very pleased all round

The radio is all that i had hoped for. It is very robust. I work outside a lot and this radio is just what i was looking for. I have a makita drill so i can use the batteries for this radio when i cannot get mains power. The service from the people i bought the radio from was very good.

This is a very durable and hardy product, superb sound quality compared to most other site radio's. It will play all day with an 18 volt battery supplying the power. The only downside is, why oh why could it not charge the battery (Like the Dewalt) when connected to the mains? This would make all the difference and tick ALL of the boxes!!
That crticism aside very good value for money and i would recomended it.

I HAD BEEN SCOURING THE INTERNET FOR A SITE RADIO AND BOUGHT THIS ITEM AS IT WAS THE BEST DEAL AT THE TIME. IT IS NOT AS BIG AND CHUNKY AS SOME OF THE OTHER RADIOS I LOOKED AT. I HAVE BEING USING IT AT WORK AND AM VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE SOUND QUALITY.
