Monster Cable Products Beats by Dr. Dre Headphones

Having used the Beats by Dre Tour in ear headphones for a while I thought it was about time I stepped up and purchased the Solo HD on ear headphones. I'm going to summarise the headphones under different sections below:

Looks

They look simply fantastic. Only had them a day and a half and they are real head turners, the glossy finish on the headband really make them stand out. The red cable is almost distinctive these days too which adds to the brilliant design

Build Quality

The headphones feel quite sturdy but at the same time flimsy, it's a bit difficult to explain. Each side have a hinge so you can fold them for easier storage and you get a soft pouch to store them in. The fold system is very good, they unfold with a satisfying click. They are also adjustable on either side so they fit all head sizes.

Comfort

Having worn them to commute to and from work (takes me about an hour on a public bus) I have to say they are very comfortable. The ear cups are very soft and the headband has cushioning too.

Functionality

The newer models come with a standard cable and also a Controltalk cable, which basically means you can control the volume and pause, skip etc. tracks from a little remote on the cable which is a nice touch.

Sound Quality

I'm a big fan of Rock, Drum and Bass, Dubstep, Rap and Metal so obviously the range of music is quite broad. These headphones like other people have said are quite bass heavy so they'll take some getting used to. They make artists such as Pendulum and Drake sound brilliant. However, the sound isn't as crisp as I hoped but I've only had them just over a day so I guess time will tell if it improves.

All in all I would definitely recommend these. They look fantastic and they really bring songs to life.

-Bought these headphones as when I was last in America I saw them on sale in a store, tried them on, gave them a little test and I was blown away by the sound quality and bass.

-Now I have a pair I love the red finish with this product, very swish! Also, the monster cable is great being detachable, makes it an easier process to get a new one if it breaks rather than a whole new pair of headphones. The headphones fit really well with the moveable ear cuffs which is a great touch.
A minor complaint is at anything over 50% volume the sound does tend to leak out quite badly, however, I'm not overly fussed, I like my music loud and I'll keep playing it loud....no bigs!!
- In comparison to other products, I can only compare to Apple earphones for my iPod and a number of cheap branded in-ear bad boys, therefore you would expect these beats to be far superior and I can report that to me, they are immense, I'd be shocked if there were better quality, better built and better looking headphones for the price in the headphone world.

that are amazing loved them so much i went and bought a beats audio netbook to go with the earphone would recommend them to anyone that loves music the quality and the sound of the music is much improved than your average pair of headphones and they are very well designed styles of headphones

the headphones i purchased were counterfit. fakes posted as authentic Dr. Dre beats audio SOLO HD headphones. so i cant really comment on them.

wasnt happy with the product in any way was clearly a fake even the box was a fake nothing like dr dre beats in the end feel totally scammed
