Mismatched maids, on the other hand, is the sweetheart of all bridesmaids alike. It gives the freedom to wear what looks good to them. The way it typically works is, you select a colour palette and send your girls fabric swatches or paint chips, along with examples of dresses you would love to see them wearing.

As each bridesmaid selects a dress, you keep the other girls updated to avoid getting the same dress or same colour shade. For a more formal look, you can select a bridesmaid dress designer for them to choose different necklines and/or colour variations. If you have a more laid back style, your bridesmaids can wear party dresses mix and matching patterns and colours from a colour palette to keep the look cohesive. This is great because it gives them chance of being able to wear the dress again.  That is a nice little excuse we love to justify splurging on that dress your bridesmaids have been eying.

The bridesmaids above wore  striped Skater Spade dresses!

If that's the look you have your heart set on, let me formally introduce you to the wonderful world of metallic and sequins for bridesmaids! No need to find colour matches, no need to keep track of what colour each maid is wearing. Plus, gold. Need I say more? You can find lots of metallic party dresses at the time of the year, and they look good for weddings in every season. It's practically a neutral.
