1. Dusting. Used dryer sheets can be used to dust furniture, fan blades, blinds and TV screens. The dust will stick to the sheet and come right off.

2. Removing pet hair. A dryer sheet will take pet hair off your clothes in a snap. A great way to get it off of furniture, too.

3. Get rid of fly-away hair. When your hair looks like you just stuck your finger in a socket, rub a dryer sheet on it to tame the static. Great for the winter months when the air is especially dry.

4. Eliminate car odour. A dryer sheet placed underneath the seats will remove any unpleasant smells. No need to buy air fresheners again!

5.  Shine-up chrome. Polish your bathroom and car chrome with a used dryer sheet. You won’t believe the difference!

6. Freshen up your gym bags. Your workout bag won’t be offensive anymore. Put a dryer sheet in the bottom to make your bag the freshest in the locker room.

7. Wrap dirty nappies. Running errands with your kids and won’t be home in a while? Grab a dryer sheet to wrap around a dirty nappy to keep the smell at bay until you can find a bin.

8. Insect repellent. Hang a dryer sheet from your belt loop to keep insects away. The mosquitos won’t bother you now!

9. Clean saucepans. Burnt on grease doesn’t have a chance. Fill the pan with warm water and place a dryer sheet on top. The sheet should lift off any grime stuck to the bottom.

10. Sharpen scissors. Rub a dryer sheet on scissor blades to make them cut through things like new.
