PICTURED ARE THE ONYX MODELS COVERING BOTH LIVERYS THE NUMBERS ARE ONYX 127,128(7UP) AND 127B(PEPSI).

IN CONTRAST WITH TODAYS F1 CARS THE LINES ON THESE JORDANS WERE VERY CLEAN AND DEVOID OF AERODYNAMIC PROTUSIONS.THE ONYX MODELS THEREFORE REPRESENT VERY GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY COMPARED TO THE PRICES BEING ASKED FOR THE MINICHAMPS VERSIONS,PARTICULARLY THE MICHAEL SHUMACHER  AND ZANARDI VERSIONS.

POWERED BY THE FORD HB ENGINE THE JORDAN TEAM USED FOUR DRIVERS FOR THAT YEAR,DeCESARIS(9POINTS)GACHOT(4 POINTS)ZANARDI AND M.SHUMACHER ,THE JORDAN TEAM CAME 5TH IN THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP.

JORDANS SECOND SEASON IN FORMULA 1 SAW THEM CHANGE TO YAMAHA ENGINES WITH THE 192.THEIR DRIVER LINE UP FOR THAT YEAR WAS MODENA AND GUGLEMIN.THEY ONLY SCORED ONE POINT(IN AUSTRALIA).

AVAILABLE FROM ONYX,NUMBERS 133 MODENA AND 134 GUGLEMIN.ALSO AN EXCELLENT VERSION AVAILABLE FROM KYOSHO AS A DRIVERLESS MODEL,RACE NUMBER 32.(MODENAS CAR)MINICHAMPS ARE TO PRODUCE TWO MODELS,400 920032 MODENA,400 920033 GUGLEMIN,DUE OUT LATE 2008.

THE RAREST JORDAN MODEL BY ONYX AND BY FAR THE MOST VALUABLE IS NUMBER 134A THE 192 OF CASTRO SANTOS.I HAVE NEVER SEEN IT FOR SALE AT ANY DEALER AND ONLY ONCE ON E BAY,IN DECEMBER 2006 WHERE IT FETCHED £250 PLUS POSTAGE.(SANTOS NEVER RACED THE CAR BUT DID A TEST)

THIS SEASON SAW JORDAN CHANGE ENGINE SUPPLIERS YET AGAIN,THIS TIME TO THE HART V10.THERE WAS MANY DRIVERS USED THAT YEAR INCLUDING,BARRICHELLO,CAPELLI,BOUTSEN,APICELLA,NASPETTI AND EDDIE IRVINE.WHO COULD FORGET THE DUST UP BETWEEN EDDIE AND AYRTON AT THE JAPANESE G.P.MINICHAMPS RELEASED A VERSION OF THE 193 OF EDDIES DEBUT IN THAT RACE .

MINICHAMPS 930115 IRVINE DEBUT.ONYX 174 BARRICHELLO

I BELIEVE THE 193 WAS THE PENULTIMATE JORDAN PRODUCED BY ONYX.ITS NOW QUITE RARE AND DIFFICULT TO SOURCE.THE NUMBERS ARE ,175 BOUTSEN,174 BARRICHELLO.

JORDAN STAY WITH THE HART ENGINE FOR ANOTHER SEASON.AS WELL AS BARRICHELLO AND IRVINE,DeCESARIS AND AGURI SUZUKI WERE ALSO NAMED DRIVERS THIS SEASON.THE MINICHAMPS SET 2/5 HAS EXCELLENT VERSIONS OF THE 193 AND 194 CARS(WITHOUT DRIVERS)ONYX AND HERITAGE ALSO PRODUCED VERSIONS OF THE 194.

THIS YEAR SAW EDDIE JORDAN GET HIS ENGINES FROM PEUGEOT.HE ALSO RETAINED THE SERVICES OF RUBINS AND EDDIE IRVINE TO DRIVE THE 195.ONYX WERE NOT TO PRODUCE ANY MORE JORDAN MODELS AND SO THE WAY WAS CLEAR FOR A VIRTUAL MONOPOLY BY MINICHAMPS.SOME HANDBUILTS ARE ON THE MARKET BUT TEND TO BE ON THE EXPENSIVE SIDE.THE MINICHAMPS EJR195 MODELS ARE: 430 950015 IRVINE,430 9500114 BARRICHELLO.
