These fun ideas will make for some awesome quality “Mummy and Me” time!

1. Make a meal to share. Look through your favourite   cooking magazine and find something to make together (bonus:  picky eaters are more likely to try something that they've helped make!) Don't forget to get  fun or matching aprons, too.

2. Have a daytime  family game or film night! This one is fun if you have older kids in school and want to do something special with your little one. It's also a perfect idea for rainy days or when you're stuck inside.

3. If you have a little girl, paint each other's nails. Piggy Paint nail polish is non-toxic and comes in lots of fun colours.

4. Grab a coffee (for you, not your child) at the local coffee shop. Your child can try a new tea, some hot chocolate, or maybe just a sweet treat. Then sit and chat about how your day is going or just enjoy spending time watching the world go by.

5. Go on a  picnic at the park. Enjoy a meal (maybe the one you made in #1?) and some playtime afterwards.

6. Everybody loves taking pictures and practicing their  photography skills. Head outside and take turns taking photos of all that you see.

7. Go on a bike ride or walk around the neighbourhood. It's fun and you'll get some exercise, too.

8. Start scrapbooking together. You've already taken lots of pictures together, so now put them in a special mummy and me scrapbook that you can work on together.

9. Spend time doing their favourite  hobby. Does your little one love  Play Doh or sewing? Spend time teaching them to do something new or doing what they love...you may pick up a new hobby, too!

10. Go grab ice cream or frozen yogurt. Or even better,  make your own ice cream!

11. Be tourists in your own town or another local town. We often forget or don't realise that our own towns have some amazing sites to see. Spend an afternoon exploring with your child.

12. Go see or rent a film. Let your child pick or introduce your child to an old favourite.

13. Spend time volunteering together. Do good while having fun - it's a great opportunity to learn which causes speak to your child and you can start the conversation about the importance of giving back.

14. Take your child to work with you, even if it's just for an hour. I know it sounds weird, but if you work outside of the home, it's a great way to give your child an understanding of where you go and what you do everyday.

15. Take a hike, literally!  It's a fun way to explore nature and spend some quality time doing something healthy and energising.

23. Have a dance party. Take turns picking out your favourite songs to dance to.

24. Trace each other’s hands and feet and then colour or paint them together.
