A teen's bedroom is usually their favourite place in the house. And, sometimes it's mum's least favourite place. Have you ever cringed at the thought of opening your teen's bedroom door? If so, then this post will hopefully give you some great ideas to help organise their space so you'll both love it. Sometimes, teens just need the right tools to help them get organised in their room and in life in general. Organise the Electronics

Teens now have lots of electronics and accessories. Their lives can be a mess of cords, accessories, and plugs. Help them organise their electronics. A handy  case for their desk is a great idea, or a  docking station for their phone. I also love the idea of cord keepers to keep all those crazy cords from getting tangled when not in use.

Get a calendar/planner and encourage them to use it.

I know most teens have  calendars on their phones, but writing things down can be a great way to help teens remember school assignments, and important dates. It also will teach them valuable organizing skills. A  planner can be a great way to encourage goal setting in your teen, too.

Give them a place to display things

Teens usually revolve around what is inside their phones, but they love to  display special things too. Instagram photos, notes from friends, or cool quotes to motivate them are all things they would love to keep. But, giving them a place to display them is a great way to keep the clutter from piling up.

Organise School Papers

When teens get to secondary school, it becomes crucial that they know how to organise their own school work and home work. Giving them a spot in their room to organise their papers is a great way to keep it out of the other places in the house. A good  filing system is a great idea for your teen's room, or a  homework station is a great way to keep them organised and on top of the school work.

Clear the clutter off of surfaces

Since I have teen girls, I know that they can come with even more stuff than boys. Make-up, hair accessories, nail polish, jewellery, etc. Everything needs a place. Figure out what your teen has a lot of, and find a storage solution to get things off of surfaces and into a permanent home.  Jewellery organisers, and  make-up boxes can go a long way to making your teen feel more organised.
