Does your kitchen pantry need a makeover? Most of us are busy and often it's easy to get in a hurry and shove boxes and bags on the pantry shelves. 1. Clean Out the Clutter

To get your kitchen pantry looking neat and organised, first you need to purge! Start moving everything out of the pantry and clean out! Throw away old food and wipe down the shelves. Now you are ready for the following tips to create a new and improved professional looking organised pantry.

2. Add a Pop of Color With Containers

A great place to add a pop of colour to your kitchen pantry is with containers.   Baskets are what I like to use as they come in many different colours. Fill containers with items such as biscuits, crisps, cereal bars or fruit. Be sure to get several sizes, so that larger items will fit.
Plastic baskets are easy because you can wash them or wipe them out if needed. Just be sure to measure your shelves so that you do not get baskets that are too tall or wide for the area.

3. Replace Your Food Boxes With Clear Plastic Containers

Using clear plastic food containers to keep things tidy is very helpful. You can use them for food such as cereal, rice, pasta and oats. This not only cuts down on the number of boxes on the shelves, but it also helps you to see when an item is running low so you know to get more. On the flip side, it also shows you when you have plenty which cuts down on over buying. Something most of us are guilty of doing.

4. Save Space With Spice Racks

To save space, using a   spice rack is a must! Those small containers of cinnamon, garlic and pepper really can get in your way and having them hanging on a cabinet door is a simple and easy way to reduce clutter. This way you don't have to worry about  spices falling over, spilling and making a mess. Plus, with a spice rack you won't have to dig around to find what you're looking for!

5. Use Shelves for Cans Instead of Stacking

Canned goods can sometimes take over the pantry. A good way to help with the clutter is to get a shelf made just for cans. It is a great way to stack what you often use and also keep those cans of speciality items. With a shelf you will always know when you are running low on your favourite canned veggie or fruit. They really can help to keep the pantry looking good!

6. Splurge On Labels

In order to make sure you know just what you have in the pantry make yourself some  labels. Not only are they super helpful, they just add to the overall  organised look of the pantry. You can get permanent stickers or labels with a  whiteboard marker.
