A fabulous folk story - by Millie Mackintosh
There's no escaping the fact I have a penchant for everything bohemian - if it's floaty, lace or crochet it's in my wardrobe. I just can't get enough of it. So it's an absolute dream to discover a luxe, wintery take on boho.

The latest collections have a whimsical, fairytale-like quality with a strong folk feel. And the season's range of rich colours, like forest green and burgundy, really add to the luxurious mood. There's such amazing embroidery and embellishment around, too, which look fabulous with more tactile textures, such as faux fur and leather. It's a look that I'll never tire of. Boho is here to stay - at least in my wardrobe!

Felt Madison Fedora

This hat is so similar to the one I wore in my eBay shoot. It’s such an unusual colour and I wear mine with everything to add that folk star touch. Just be brave and add a pop of colour. As you know I love hats and the wide brimmed Fedora is perfect for protecting your hair from the rain. It's how I avoid bad hair days!

The leather jacket

The leather jacket

This leather jacket is such a cool way of adding texture to your look. The Mongolian faux fur detail is so luxe and I imagine it’s really warm too. I love the colours - navy and black are such a chic couple - and they give this biker style an extra hit of je ne sais quoi. I would wear it over a statement folk-print dress and knee-high boots.

There are so many different ways to wear this folklore-print dress. It would look lovely over jeans and a turtle neck for a casual look, or teamed with navy tights and boots for a weekend gathering. The tunic shape is really easy to wear, too. If you want to enhance your shape simply add a skinny belt and knot it, just slightly off centre.

Faux fur tippet

I have lots of these faux fur tippets in my wardrobe. They're great for dressing up a plain jacket or coat and they actually look like they're part of the design. It's such a simple but chic way to accessorise, especially during the winter months because it adds an extra layer of warmth, and I hate getting cold around my neck. It's also a clever excuse to dabble in faux fur if a furry coat isn't for you.

Ankle boots

The tassels on these ankle boots really capture the boho-folk vibe. I'm especially drawn to the chunky heel and soft leather because they look really comfortable. They're the type of boots that will just go with everything.
