INTERNATIONAL BUYERS NOT CHECKING WHAT THEY BID FOR!

AS A FAIRLY NEW SELLER ON EBAY ID LIKE TO JUST MAKE PEOPLE AWARE OF THE NIGHTMARE WE HAVE HAD WITH INTERNATIONAL SELLERS NOT CHECKING WHAT THEY ARE BIDDING FOR.

WE HAVE HAD A SHOP FOR 2 MONTHS AND HAVE BEEN SELLING FOR ABOUT 4 MONTHS NOW AND WEVE BEEN HAVING A BALL.

FROM THE VERY FIRST ITEM WE HAVE SOLD,WE HAVE DONE EVERYTHING PROPERLY FROM THE LISTING,SENDING INVOICES,PACKING,POSTING AND LEAVING FEEDBACK.WE HAVE UP UNTILL NOW MANAGED TO KEEP A 100% POS FEEDBACK,HOWEVER WE THINK THAT MAY CHANGE AFTER A SITUATION WITH AN INTERNATIONAL BUYER.

THE BUYER PUT IN A BID AND WON THE AUCTION FOR ONE OF OUR ITEMS.THE BUYER WAS SENT AN INVOICE IN ENGLISH STERLING MONEY(I HAVE CHECKED THIS WITH EBAY AND ITS UP TO THE BUYER TO CONVERT INTO THEIR CURRENCY)WE RECIVED A MONEY GRAM IN THE POST,BUT IT WAS FOR THE INTERNATIONAL AMOUNT AND NOT THE ENGLISH.I EMAILED THE BUYER,EXPLAINING THAT THE AMOUNT WAS IN ENGLISH AND THEY HAD NOT SENT ENOUGH TO COVER EVEN THE POSTAGE,LET ALONE THE ITEM.FROM THAT POINT UNTILL NOW THE BUYER HAS BEEN RUDE AND THREATENED TO REPORT ME TO EBAY FOR MISLEADING THEM!!!!

IT CLEARLY STATES ON ALL LISTINGS WHAT COUNTRY THE SELLERS ARE FROM AND WHEN YOU CONSIDER THE PAYMENT HAD TO BE SENT TO ENGLAND,THATS A GIVEAWAY!!!

PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS AND IF YOU HAVE ITEMS SELLING ALTHOUGH EBAY ALWAYS STATES WHERE YOU ARE SITUATED,IT MIGHT BE A IDEA TO ADD THAT TO YOUR HOMEPAGE AND LISTINGS.

FROM PESONAL EXPERIENCE,WHEN STARTING OUT SELLING ON EBAY ITS HARD ENOUGH TO TRY AND PLEASE EVERYONE,BUT REMEMBER THAT ITS DOWN TO THE BUYER TO CHECK DETAILS BEFORE BIDDING,AS ONCE THEY BID THAYVE ENTERED INTO A COMMITMENT WITH YOU,ALTHOUGH SOMETIMES YOU KIND OF WISH THEY HADNT!!!!!!!

I HOPE THIS HELPS ANYONE OUT THERE WHO WERE NOT AWARE THAT THIS CAN HAPPEN,HOWEVER IT CAN AND IT DOES!!!!!!

THANX FOR READING,WILL UPDATE SOON!!!!
