A wonderful time was had at 'Ally Pally' again this second year of the new resurected 'London Classic Car Show'. Well presented in only two halls. However a very good display was put on by most of the major London based dealers supported by a few club stands, together with car accessory trade stands. Coys auctions put on a fine rolling display showing classic car exotica with interviews with the owners, on the two days of the morning of the event outside on the ring road.
The Classic Car Show with The Moving Motor Show at the Excell exhibition centre in London's docklands is well worth a visit in February of each year!
Spoilt for choice! as on the same weekend was Race Retro at the Stoneleigh showgrounds near Coventry. Always a wonderful show with a large indoor autojumble.
The Antiques & Vintage Fair held at Brighton Racecourse had a French flavour to it with a Lalique glass car mascot exhibition held in The Premier Suite of the venue. This fair seems to go from strength to strength and more visitors were in attendance than ever before!
The recent Classic Motor Show at the NEC in Birmingham was fab' and again was very busy with all five halls filled with automotive exotica. A fine autojumble and spares market was to be found and also the various classic car club's exhibition stands in Hall 1. All in all a great weekend for the classic car enthusiast! Many thanks to Andrea & Jane of Poppysead media for their very kind hospitality during the event.
Now at the end of the year we have next years' events to look forward to!
The last big event (in the south) of the year was the Double LL Club's Autojumble at The Grange in pretty Midhurst, West Sussex. This was a well organized do and very busy fair, and although a lot of interst was shown by the classic car enthusiasts, they did not seem to want to put their hands in their pockets!
