ASSEMBLING AN XMAS EVE BOX

INTRODUCTION

This guide is written to show the process of assembling  your christmas eve box
all you will need is a lttle PVA craft glue
if you are unsure about the process we suggest that you first go through the steps without using any glue and then when you have the cofidence you go assemble with the adhesive

UNPACKING

When you unpack the pieces firat lets split them into 2 piles one for the base box and the other for the top.
They are easy to recognise as the top section have much smaller tabs on them
now set the top parts to one side whilst we deal with the base unit.

LAYOUT

take the 5 base parts and set them out
we obviously have  one bottom 2 sides and two ends, you can see now that the tabs will interlock.

ASSEMBLY

With the bottom laid flat on your work
surface  take one end piece and apply a little glue as shown to the tabs

Now push the tabs together
raising the end piece as you go

and that is the first piece in position
this may need some support until you have the next piece in position

Now take on of the longer side pieces
and do the same clipping it together along the base and up the side

then the second side

and finally the other end section
and that is the base section complete

THE TOP

the top lid parts fit together in the same manner as the base parts
first one end

The two sides and finally the other end
and your box is now pretty much complete

THE TOPPER

All that is left to do now is apply some adhesive to your box topper and stick it to the lid
