Mason jar lunch date

Love salad but don't like the mess? You can layer the whole thing in one jar (dressing on the bottom, please), store it in the fridge, and shake just before you are ready to eat!

If you don't want to mix it up until just before lunch, these BNTO cups fit snugly inside the top of the jar and you can pack the dry goodies down below. This is also a great snack solution for hummus and other dips.

Brew coffee right in the cup with a  coffee sock. Fit the sock over the mouth of the jar and fill it with coffee grounds. Pour a little boiling water over it and let sit for 60 seconds (this is called blooming). Then pour the rest of the boiling water over the grounds to fill the jar. Steep, remove the sock, then sip! This can be used to make cold brew coffee as well.

There are also  shaker lids that quickly convert your jar to an easy container for dry condiments like chili flakes or Parmesan cheese. I use this shaker to boost nutrition as it's filled with a mix of hemp hearts, chia seeds, buckwheat groats, and sesame seeds that I shake onto soups, salads, and cereals.
