I tried to install my plug-in but the message "Error code 7" is displayed.
Your ARCHOS shows this message when you try to install a plug-in that has been created for another type of product.
Note: Plug-ins are keyed to one specific device and will not function on another device.
I tried to install my plug-in but the message "Error code 10" is displayed.
This message indicates that there has been an error while transferring the plug-in from your computer to your ARCHOS.
1. Locate the plug-in file on your device.
• ARCHOS 5 and 7: tap on Tools > Files.
• Generation 5 and 4: select the File browser icon from the home screen.
2. Highlight the file and then with the menu, select Delete.
3. Shut off and then restart the ARCHOS.
4. Transfer the plug-in again from your computer to your ARCHOS.
ATTENTION: If the ARCHOS is in ‘hard drive’ mode, make sure you disconnect safely via the green arrow icon in the system tray.
I tried to install my plug-in but the message "Error code 13" is displayed.
This message is displayed when the 'Product Key' you had typed in the order form does not correspond to your device's Product Key. Please contact me via firstname.lastname@example.org
How can I see that my plug-in is installed?

Tap on Tools > Settings > Firmware and Plug-ins. Next to “Plug-ins”, all installed plug-ins are listed. If you cannot see it, it means it is not installed. Try to install it a second time.
Generation 5 devices (405, 605 WiFi, 705WiFi, TV+)
Go to Menu > Firmware and Plug-ins. Next to “Plug-ins”, all installed plug-ins are listed. If you cannot see it, it means it is not installed. Try to install it a second time.
My plug-in is installed but my device keeps telling me that I have to purchase the plug-in.
You need to update your device with the last firmware (“.aos” file).
Download the latest firmware file:
• directly on your ARCHOS if you can connect to a WiFi network
• with a computer from our Web site: download the file at www.archos.com/firmware.
I have bought a plug-in/game for my device. Will I be able to install it on another ARCHOS device?
No. Plug-ins and game packs are keyed to one specific device and will not function on another device.
