THE CONSTRUCTION MANUAL IS CURRENTLY BEING WRITTEN TO INCLUDE PICTURES ALSO
THERE ARE DIFFRENT TYPES OF KIT FOR THE BITX20 WICH ARE PBC BOARD AND FERRITE INDUCTOR FORMERS AND IF CANS AND HIGH GAIN VHF TRRANSISTOR.
THERE ARE OTHER KITS CURRENTLY BEING WORKED ON ,AND PLENTY OF ADDONS FOR THE MAIN SSB TRANSCEIVER KIT.
THE KITS ARE SUPPLIED FROM INDIA ,AND ARE EXTREMELY WELL PACKAGED.
I bought and built one of these kits ,and found it very simple to construct.
The bitx20 was originally designed by another Indian radio amateur ,with no pcb available for anyone interested to construct the transceiver Suniul modified the design and to allow people to construct the design had the pcb boards manufactured .
The original idea was not to supply a full kit of parts but to supply the main parts leaveing only common placed componants for the constructor to obtain .
The transceiver is a very basic transceiver design useing transistors such as bc 547 ,most radio amateurs with a junk box would have all the other componants nessary to build the kit .
there have been addons to the original kit such as a frEquency display ,an audio dirived s-meter and soon a custom made enclosure.WHICH CAN BE PURCHASED AS SEPERATE ITEMS.
I was so delighted with this item i bought from ebay i thought others should be notified.
This kit and other related products can be found ON THE INTERNET
There are planned new products and other amteur and non amateur kits available also.
If you have a design idea for a kit and have a schematic diagram ,parts placement overlay and you have no pcb Sunil maybe able to help you to produce this as a kit also .
The prices that are charged for these kits is low and they are extremely good value for money ,anybody who buys kits or that purchases electronic componants knows a bargin when they see one .
So if your looking for a winter project and enjoy 20 meters ssb then this is the project for you
This is an excellent chance to build a transceiver for less than the price of a night out.
The supplier also has a forum which he personally backs up and help and advice from others who have built or are building can join free and get help ,hints and advice also.
