The interpretation of BNWOT is 'New Without Tags'
It has to be said that on Ebay BNWOT Can often mean?
Can I get away with selling this as New...
Clever photography and a misuse of words can make an auction sound amazing.
A hard and fast rule, that I am myself, still learning is this;
If you buy BNWOT Be prepared for something in very good condition, but 'NOT' new, then you will not be bitterly disappointed when you recieve it.
Also bear this in mind, if buying the item as a gift. As mistakes can be costly, and opening a dispute 'Item not as described' with Paypal, can do a lot to lower the spirits in the run up to Christmas.
If you want new, BUY NEW WITH TAG, OR BOX, UNOPENED PACKAGING.
Ask seller for more pictures, if you are unsure or hesitant, no matter how much you may want it, just move on, search for another auction, there are millions to choose from.
If you buy an auction BNWOT It may be good advice not to ask the seller to send it straight to a friend or relative as a gift from you, without it being inspected by your own eyes first, better to waste a little postage than face embarrasment.
In my experience as a buyer of BNWOT 80% Were not new :(
Business Ebayers with new goods were not included in this estimate.
This review has been written without prejudice, as no doubt there are millions of happy ebayers who have been thrilled with their BNWOT purchases.
But I love Ebay, it allows me to buy items I could never afford new and that makes ALL! THE DIFFERENCE. :)
Happy Ebaying Everyone.
