I have to buy my makeup kit from scratch, where can I cut corners to get good makeup all at once?
So, when starting out your makeup kit, it can be expensive to buy everything all at once, this guide will help you to know what to buy for the basic make up kit.
Start with your base layer.
After washing toning and cleansing your skin, you are going to need a good foundation, priming the skin makes the makuo sit better and longer but for now, foundation will do. I use Maxfactor 3in1 which has primer, concealer and foundation all in the one bottle. Instead of having to buy all 3 products and it has great coverage.
Next you may or may not want to use powders to set your make up but I can't do without mine! Sleek do a great little contouring kit which includes your bronzer, your highlighter and blusher, again, a 3 in 1 purchase!
Now to the eyes, Barry M supply lovely eye-shadow kits with a range of colours at affordable prices, the pigment is very easy to use and spread, long lasting and great coverage, there are a range of different kits, from natural to dark and smokey (I have both) but the natural kit is great for day or night as there are lighter tones and darker tones. Set it off with a good gel liner, the gel liner is easier to apply using the brush provided, I use the Maybelline gel liner and it lasts the whole day without running or smudging! Then to decorate those glimmering shadows and stunning eyes, a mascara, I use Maybelline Colossal volume express personally but obviously a mascara that is suited to your needs would be even better!
To finish off, Sleek again, do a brow kit which includes tweezers, mirror, two brushes, a gel brow enhancer for the base and a powder enhancer for setting, great for brows on the go and lasts the whole day without any smudges! Personally, I would never use a pencil again after using this little kit sent from heaven!
I hope you find this short guide helpful and enjoyed reading as much as I enjoyed writing!
