Pokemon

On the top of everyone's list should be one of the many Pokémon games on the market, whether it is last years Pokémon X and Y or this years remake of Pokémon Omega and Ruby.  While the premise of collecting monsters and battling with them hasn't changed since the very first Pokémon game these are still guaranteed to give hours and hours of enjoyment for any age group with the newer games having nearly hundreds of additional monsters, features and things to see and do.

Zelda: A Link between Worlds

If you are getting a 3DS, this Zelda game is the perfect choice. It has all the action and adventure you would expect from a Zelda game but as well as this the game levels and puzzles have been designed to have tiered levels which works very well with the 3DS stereoscopic 3D polygonal graphics, as does the hero's ability to switch between a 3D and 2D version of himself.

Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy

The 6th game in the Professor Layton game series continues in the same vein as the previous games and if you have played them you will know what to expect. An overly complicated storyline that you wont particularly care about but the real fun comes from attempting to solve the over 500 brand new mind bending puzzles, a number of which will drive you crazy with frustration before you're able to solve them. A perfect game for playing during the lunch break or on the long commute to work.
