To add to the previous guide about emails asking you for a refund on ebay items also beware of emails asking you for information or accusing you of not having sent an item. They are very convincing!

I have now had two occurences of this both from adresses in the US, one of which I have now had a response from confirming that their Ebay login had been spoofed, I recommend downloading the Ebay toolbar and only responding to messages via the Ebay messages service, always check the item number to make sure it is yours before replying.

Be careful and keep Ebay safe, if you think you may have entered your details onto a fake site, change your password immediately and contact Ebay.
