Beware when buying electronics

Beware benji

We purchased two tablets for our younger children this christmas, the seller knew they were presents. They arrived, slowly but we presumed that was due to the christmas postage rush. We checked them over on arrival and all seemed well, they switched on, both had charge so didnt need charging up, me stupidly never thought the charger would be faulty, so i boxed them back up and wrapped them ready for christmas day. we did contact the seller just after they arrived referencing the postage and he agreed to part refund us the overpayment, this however never materialised into a actual refund then  on the big day we found out all was not as it appeared, one of the chargers was faulty , meaning we couldnt charge the tablet at all, my son , who was poorly anyway was in tears all day because he couldnt use his tablet. i contacted the seller who very bluntly told me it was tough, he wasnt interested in resolving as his 14 day return policy had now expired! I didnt want to return the entire thing, i just wanted a working charger, was this too much to ask? Apparently it was as the seller has refused to send a replacement.
We paid over £30 per tablet so while they were not a expensive item, its sixty pounds i would rather of spent elsewhere.

I also wonder how many more people he has done this too after they have left good feedback thinking the items were ok

We are now stuck with a tablet that doesnt work and a charger thats no more use than a paperweight!!
