What better place to visit for bird watching in North Lincolnshire than the Waters Edge country park in Barton, North Lincolnshire.
Ideally placed inbetween the banks of the river Humber and the reclaimed land that has now become of of the best nature reserves in Lincolnshire.
Abundant in Wildlife and Plant life. There is plenty there you keep you occupied for hours.
Not only that, the park is home to the Waters Edge visitors centre. Here you can view a video of the making of the Humber bridge, and there are many interactive games and activities.
Books on the history of the region are available at very good prices. There is also Mike and Beths cafe to keep you refreshed.

A major benefit of the centre is that they have sales of binoculars, spotting scopes and accessories each weekend.
As for the park itself, there are several lakes , childrens play areas and woodland walks to keep all the family occupied. Each area has lots of wildlife to view. You are within walking distance of the Humber Bridge and its footpath.
Maps of the park, brochures and wild bird seed are available from the very friendly staff at reception.
Entry and car parking is free.
