For those of you (like me) who are lucky enough to have a Genuine (Direct from Vodafone) Blackberry Storm will no doubt be aware what a superb phone it is and you'll also be aware of the need to protect it from bumps and scrapes. Now, this is easily done if you did get yours from Vodafone or as a brand new unopened box from a.n.other seller as it will come with a genuine Blackberry case but if you were unlucky enough NOT to get a case with yours then heres where this review can save you a headache ! DO NOT BUY A CHEAP ALTERNATIVE ! I'm not a seller trying to convince you to buy from me but this phone requires a Genuine Blackberry case, the screen as you will know is a touch screen which works when pressed and this is where the problem with non genuine cases lies, I have checked with several vendors and all confirm the same story. This phone requires that there is a proximity sensor buried within the case which enables the screen to be switched off whilst in its case, otherwise your battery will last approximately a 10th of the time that it normally would. Cheap cases DO NOT have this facility and therefore they all leave the screen switched on whilst in the case ! So, a cheap rip off that states 'CASE SUITABLE FOR BLACKBERRY 9500 STORM' is exactly the opposite of what it says !!! I know that the genuine cases are expensive but do yourselves a favour and leave the cheap Japanese import crap WELL ALONE !
